Eylem, a Turkish teacher friend of mine is looking for help:

“We have started a Comenius project: Life Beyond the Borders: Building Bridges of Friendship. We are partners from Turkey, Portugal, Trinidad, Bulgaria, Italy, Romania and UK. We want to enrich our partnership with the contribution of schools from other countries.
Students aged between 6 and 12 will be involved in the project. We will exchange projects, paper work and experience with the teachers and the students. We can exchange students as well but it is not compulsory.”

Eylem,
I’ll let the teachers who I train here in Korea know. Just starting a licensing course for the top teachers here on Monday… I”m a true believer.
Also, you might want to consider each making a project peace video? http://projectpeace.ning.com I’m going to begin a new period of promoting it but it is a super way to build friendship. Just chose a song, download a peacepack and make the video to share the message of peace.
Peace and holiday wishes,
David

Hi, Jamie
I think this is a very interesting project and I’d like to participate on it.
Thank you for the opportunity, I was looking for something like this for my students.

Hi Jamie,
I would love to have my kids ages 11 and 9 participate. I am a high school Principal, but I would love to have my kids start connecting with students from around the globe.
Let me know if this is possible or if you need a whole class to make it work. I can also talk to teachers in my district.

Would love more info. I’m a tech person from a 6-8 middle school in Florida USA. This might be a nice project for our Geography students.

Hi everyone,
Since this project is EU funded we have to hurry up to share the details because the deadline to fill in the form is in February, 2010.
There is one more option: We can be partners only through net if we cannot get fund to support the exchange of students and teachers.

Hi Judy,
Here is the first year plan:
Students will be able to
* get acquainted with three important and outstanding environment projects that have taken place in their own countries.
*introduce them to the partner schools
So ss will first learn about their country then they will be able to share what other countries do to deal with the environmental problems.
