A late Valentine’s Day poem

February 25th, 2008 · 2 Comments

Here is a poem that went down well with my learners. Write it on the blackboard and get them to copy it down. Have them fill in the blanks in any way they like.

Could I love you?
I think I could
I think I could love you more than __________
But could I ever love you as much as __________?

Here’s a haiku thingy for recycling recently learnt vocab. Goes like this:

    (vocab item)
    (adj), (adj)
    (question about word)
    (answer to question)
    (vocab item repeated)

    e.g.

    toilet paper
    white, useful
    Where do I find it?
    In the bathroom!
    toilet paper

    or

    date
    smart, unnatural
    How am I feeling?
    nervous
    date

    Thought you might like that.

    Alternatively:

    Toilet paper
    Brown, dirty
    Where do I find it?
    Down the lavvy!
    Toilet paper
    :-)
